After decades of silence, the whistles were heard once more, this time using low-pressure compressed air to preserve their condition. The emotional highlight came on February 21, 1999, when Millvina Dean, the last living survivor of the Titanic, then 87 years old, was invited to pull the cord. At 4:05 PM, the deep, resonant sound of the “Voice of Titanic” filled the air, echoing for the first time in 87 years.
